Perfect Girl
This book felt like a modern fairy tale to me. Girl loves best friend. Best friend loves girl. Girl realizes the sparks just aren't there. Girl falls for perfect boy. In that way it made me feel connected. There are always times when our hearts tell us something completely different than what our mind is telling us. Ruthie has a little of everyone inside her. She is afraid to get hurt, afraid to hurt others. She is also outgoing and can be a tad strong willed. I believe everyone will find part of themselves in this story of life, love and hurt.

Free Style!
This book wasn't my favorite at some parts but over all it was well written. I think it will take the right person to connect with these women but everyone can see a little bit of themselves in someone in this book. We can all connect with the broken heart aspect though. At some point in our lives our hearts will break and at that point maybe we too will wanna visit our past.

The Juliet Club
“Given enough time, even the impossible becomes possible.” This is a quote from the gripping tale of love and lust that is called The Juliet Club. Kate has been hurt one to many times and is done with love. Never again will she allow her body to suffer through the pain of lost love. When she receives news of her upcoming trip to Italy for a Shakespeare seminar she is determined that she will not find love ever again. But as a prank unfolds what is that emotion pounding deep inside her heart? Could it be love or is it simply nothing at all?
I quite enjoyed this book. I found it really refreshing compared to a lot of other novels I have read recently. It seems that all the books are about teen drama but this really brought me back in time to a world in which everything seemed to have to be black or white with no in between. I highly recommend this tale of passion, hope and love to anyone who is ready for a new kind of book to grip their heart. Love wont be lost, it cant be.
Airhead- Meg Cabot
“I remember you.” What if you could remember something that you aren’t allowed to talk about with the people who matter most?
Em Hated the new Mega Store that was opening in Soho. She despised her mom for making her take her all to girly little sister to the grand opening. That only made the accident that much harder to deal with. When the accident happened it came along with a out of body experience, literally. Soon Em was Nikki, the famous supermodel, on the outside but she was still the same girl inside. The same girl who was madly in love with her best friend and loved playing computer games. But then why was she loving how it felt when all those other guys kissed her?
This book was very entertaining and rather hard to put down. You could say one more chapter turned into 5 more! There were parts where I felt the tears sting my eyes and other parts where I just burst out laughing. I recommend this book to anyone who is ready for the next “it” series. Perfect- Sara Shepard
In the amazing third pretty little liars book you will be gripping the edge of your seat. Aria’s life has been completely turned upside down in a way nobody can imagine with out going through it. Emily must face pleasing herself or pleasing her parents. Poor Hanna has fallen prey to the meanest girl in school. Last but not least, Spencer has had her heart broken by not only a guy but her sister as well. Could Melissa be out to get her now?
I think this novel should definitely be read by any teen girl who loves a mystery and someone’s drama that is not her own. You will experience love, hate, horror and excitement. A+ to Sara Shepard!
Gamma Glamma
Gmma Glamma is a book that would capture many science fan’s hearts. Luz gets messed up with a dead frog problem which leaves her forced to enter the science fair. That’d be exciting if regionals weren’t on the same day as homecoming. Things look like they cant get any worse as her makeover project continues but I promise, Its all about to hit the fan.
To be honest I don’t really like the book. I figured the science aspect would not be so huge but it is a major part. The cover really drew me in then let me down. Over all I think it deserves two out of five stars.
Everyboy's got One
Another book in the Boy Series by Meg Cabot. When being forced to go witness her best friend, Holly’s wedding Jane expects things to go perfect. Things seem to not be going that way when modelizer Cal comes too. Cal obviously is falling for Jane and she is obviously falling for him although they want to hate each other. Will passion drag them together as the wedding goes on? Will the wedding even fall through? These are all running through Jane’s mind as the passion and friendship continue through out this dazzling novel.
Although not as great as the previous book “Boy Next Door” it still was a captivating romance novel. I guess in many way’s I would call it the modern fairy tale. I loved the idea of love where you least expect it although in this book it was pretty predictable. I do however recommend this book to romance lovers 13 and older. There are some rather mature aspects in this book.Speak
The captivating tale of first times. First drink of alcohol, first party and loss of innocence. Melinda has the perfect life. Great friends and is going to her first party. It turns out firsts aren’t always so great. Something happens at that party that is horrible. Melinda cant force herself to Speak up about it so now everyone hates her. She called the cops from the party after the occurrence. She sees It in the hallways. She sees It in MISS. For some reason Melinda is seeing It everywhere. In this story of courage and speaking up she learns that holding her pain in is holding her back from the life she wants to live.
I not only recommend this book to those who have a painful secret I recommend it to all teen girls. Everyone will have something happen in their life that they will keep secret be it big or small. This book helps explain why keeping your grief in is not always a good thing. It also will help open your eyes to the reality that you can move on through problems and overcome obstacles. Good Job on this wonder full novel, Speak.
American Beauty
Another A-List book. Of course for Anna thinks will shake up around graduation time. When her mom and sister pop into town things are bound to get awkward. Sam meets her mom again well fighting to get back with her ex. Cammie is trying to figure out he mystery to her mom’s murder well throwing that good old Cammie edge at it. Dee things things with her new love interest are forever but are they?
It was one of the best A-List’s in my opinion although things did become rather repetitive. I do however think that people should continue you on with the series through all that.
Someone Like You
Sarah Dessen knows how to hit your heart in all the right spots. She can make you feel emotion throughout this entire book. Love of a child and hate of a user. Teens struggle with these issues all the time. Not everyone will be impregnated as a teen but many are forced with that every day. Most of us girls wont be pressured into sex but tons are. This book is a fantastic portrayal of a troubled teens life and the friend that is there through it all. A+ to Ms. Dessen!
Defying the Diva
Haley’s life seems to be going alright. She has a great job at the school newspaper’s gossip column and two best friends. She would have never guessed that one juicy piece of gossip could ruin her life badly. When Haley publishes a piece about the popular girls party that girl’s dad calls off her end of school trip. Haley instantly becomes Haley the Ho in a plan to ruin her little life she has left.
As the school years draws to a close Haley is glad to be getting away from it all and going away for the summer. But what happens when her biggest nightmare shows up in town? Will Haley finally have the courage to share her trauma’s with the world one someone is physically hurt?
When I received this Novel in the mail I could instantly tell I was gonna love it. The cover picture was amazing and the way it draws you in quickly as well. I was able to connect very well with Haley because I have been bullied in my life and not wanted to stir things by telling. I believe every female on this planet can connect with a character in some way through out this book. Because lets face it… Us girls can be nasty!
Boobs: A guide to your girls
bOObs is unlike any non-fiction book I have ever read. Not only did it address the way most women are wearing the wrong bra size but it also address the way we see our boob’s along with other women’s boobs. Through out this book you will realize and begin to love the lovely creations you have been given. In this book you will also see why the author believes our boob’s to be sexual. Although many parts of this book did not effect me (like ‘why our lovers love ‘em’), I still enjoyed most the book. It helped me to see that I should love my small chest because most women with larger one’s wish for something different. It also helped me in another way, it mademe realize that I should not be letting others comments effect my poor/good body image.
The Heart Break Pill
Erica Luna has a good life, right? A cute husband, a great job and two amazing dads. That couldn’t be farther from the truth. What Erica has is… A cute husband who is sleeping with another woman and just so happens to be having his kid. A job where she works with the enemy and two rather nosy and gossipy dads. With a upcoming divorce from her jerk of a husband, Martin, Erica is trying to survive the worlds worst disease. Heart break. Can she come up with a cure to it or does it only take time?
I really enjoyed this book for the most part. To me it borders somewhere between fantasy and chick lit. Although there are no real “cures” to heart break this book made it feel as if it was possible. The author is very wordy and will capture you into this land of lost love. The one thing that wasn’t my favorite is that the people in the book will speak another language that I dont understand, but for the most part the author clarify’s it.
