Bloom

Grade: A
Rating: Pg-13

Lauren is the girl everyone wants to be. She is just average. Average grades, looks, friends. The thing that makes her special is her boyfriend Dave. Dave is the most popular guy in school. The guy everyone would want. He has it all figured out. College with Lauren, marry her, be with her forever. Suddenly Evan shows up in Laurens life. He is a little wilder and a lot more passionate. Lauren must choose between the safety she has in Dave’s arms and the love she has in Evan’s, well trying to not become the mother who walked away from her oh-so-many years ago.
To say that I loved Bloom would be an understatement. As I first started out I thought it would be kind of stupid. It wasn’t what I expected at all. Then slowly the book picked up and I was unable to put it down. I needed to know who Lauren would choose. I loved the aspect of this book that Lauren throws out there. The concept of some books making you feel worse when you finished then you did when you started. That is so very true. So many relationships in books are like the one Dave and Lauren had, that she pretended to have. Perfect! That’s not reality and we see that through Evan. Life has choices and is not always roses and butterflies. This novel captured that so well I am amazed. Go read it, now!

Also, I guess I totally forgot where this book takes place. If you can tell me I would so appreciate it :)

This is such a great novel. Elizabeth Scott's other books are also good. I think this is my favorite, though Stealing Heaven is also really good. :)
